my doctor recently diagnosed me with varicose veins. I purchased a pair of these socks to try as an experiment. It is very difficult to accurately describe the sock's effects. I was aware all day long that they were doing "something"- perhaps best described as a feeling of excitability, or a rush of some sort. I have worn them several different times since, and experienced the same sort of rush all day. I think this is attributable to better circulation throughout my entire body due to the compression of my calves. Due to current monetary problems, I don't expect to purchase any more in the near future, but they will be on my Christmas list!
