The Olefin layer keeps feet dry and comfortable by moving moisture away from the skin. Since the liner and outer sock are fully integrated, the moisture can move more freely from one layer to the next without the layer bunching or causing friction like in an instance of wearing two socks or even a two-layered sock that is not fully-integrated.
The outer layer, made of Merino wool, is both soft and insulating in either cold or warm climates.
